Firmware Update for Fazua Ride 60 gives you immediate motor support

Firmware update 230523 for Fazua Ride 60 ebike drive

Today, Fazua releases its second firmware update for the Ride 60 in the current calendar year under the number 230523. According to the company, it should bring a noticeable gain in the riding experience for those who ride an ebike with this drive. The reason for this: Fazua has apparently shortened the time span between the first movement of the pedals and the onset of motor assistance. Usually, the motor does not start immediately, but waits between a quarter turn and a half turn of the pedal. This time delay is to prevent you from being unpleasantly surprised by a too sudden and powerful start.

Actio and Reactio become one

The pause, known as a “pedal gap” in technical jargon, therefore has your riding safety as its ulterior motive. In some situations, however, such as when starting up a steep hill, some people find this annoying. Since Fazua clearly prefers a sporty riding style with the Ride 60, there are good reasons for the changed motor response behaviour. By the way, this is not only evident at the start, but at every moment when you noticeably change the amount of force you apply to the pedal. In this way, the motor is supposed to react even more directly and recreate a riding experience that comes very close to riding a bicycle without an electric drive.

The firmware update also includes the automatic activation of ANT+l LEV. Those of you who ride with a GPS-enabled computer from Garmin, Wahoo or Sigma will be able to connect these devices quickly and conveniently to their Fazua-powered ebike. The following data, among others, will then be transmitted from the bike to the computer:

  • Battery status
  • Remaining range
  • Current ride mode
  • Total kilometres
  • Battery charge cycles
  • Error codes
