Update Expands the Fazua App with a Useful Data Pool

With the update to version 2.1.0, Fazua introduces Activity Tracking for the Fazua App.

Important news for all those whose ebike is based on a Fazua system. At the beginning of the week, the brand presented another update for its app. The change to version 2.1.0 of the Fazua App centres on a function that allows you to review past tours in detail.

Called Activity Tracking, Fazua wants to add a new aspect to your ebike riding experience. Basically, the manufacturer provides you with a wealth of data that the system records for every ride. Provided you have connected to the app before starting your ride. You can use the data for very different purposes. Some may only want to briefly review individual details afterwards. Others will want to track every value and base their training plans on it.

From general to very specific

“The app now records a wide range of riding data and provides detailed analyses such as a distinction between rider and motor performance,” says Florian von Wurmb-Seibel, Chief Technology Officer at Porsche eBike Performance GmbH. In addition to analysing the data as accurately as possible, Fazua’s main aim is to help you remember great moments and share them with other people. That’s why the relevant journeys are stored in the form of tiles known as “Trip Cards” in a new section of the app called “My Trips”. By tapping on the tile, you can open the data collection, which contains the following information:

  • date
  • start time
  • total duration
  • active journey time
  • average speed
  • maximum speed
  • distance travelled
  • average cadence
  • maximum cadence
  • average rider power
  • maximum rider power
  • percentage distribution of rider and motor power
  • calories consumed
  • watt hours consumed
  • breakdown of kilometres ridden by support mode

If you wish, you can use this to break down exactly how much power you have produced compared to the motor, which cadences you apparently prefer or whether the measured energy consumption corresponds to the physical exertion you have perceived.

Display of a map and general riding data for individual tours in the Fazua App

With the update, Fazua introduces the display of a map. General ride data for the respective tour is displayed directly below.

Breakdown of the proportions of riding modes and various performance data in the Fazua App

The app shows how many kilometres of the tour were ridden in which riding mode. You can also see various performance data relating to you and the ebike drive.

Graphically presented

A special addition to this look back is an interactive map view. This allows you to see in detail how the tour went in the app. Where did you start? When did you take a break? Which sections included the most metres in altitude? Where did the tour end? You can also export all of this as GPX files and share them with others on platforms such as Komoot, Strava and others.

The Fazua app update is now available to download from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Nice side effect: If the firmware on your ebike is up to date, you will finally find the total kilometres listed in the app after the update. There have been repeated requests for this information in some forums. Fazua has now responded to this.

Would be ok if one could get the app on an android phone — and it work correctly on a Garmin 1030.

    1. Hello,
Yes, this should work. Fazua names the Garmin 1030 as a device compatibel with the app.
      Cheers, Matthias
