This storage box for lithium-ion batteries from Zarges is the perfect place to keep your batteries safe, whether they are defective or need to be stored safely outside the eBike season.
Not everyone is aware that in some cases, defective or damaged lithium-ion eBike batteries can pose a certain risk of fire or explosion. Cheap spare batteries from China in particular have often caught fire due to poor storage or improper handling.In order to offer you the greatest possible safety, we have included the Zarges K470 fireproof battery storage box in our range. This battery safe is suitable for storing up to 3 lithium-ion batteries safely and properly.

The light metal transport box is made of an aluminium alloy and can be stacked on top of each other. A particularly stable base, edge and lid profile as well as reinforced corner beads made of cast aluminium make this box a high-quality special container. Since lithium-ion batteries cannot simply be extinguished with water in the event of a fire, the Akku Safe has a fireproof padding inside with absorbent material made of textured Cirrux glass fibres. This was also successfully tested in a fire test. The result was that the flames could not spread to neighbouring batteries and the temperature on the surface of the container remained below 100°C. This is why the battery storage box has been tested for fire safety. Therefore, the battery storage box was approved as dangerous goods packaging according to UN regulations (3480) and released for public transport. This means you can transport your batteries in your car on long journeys without any worries.

Another safety feature is an all-round foamed-in lid seal, which is intended to reduce the escape of vapours and gases. The lid with stainless steel hinged band and two folding latches on the front allow the transport box to be optimally closed. To ensure unauthorised opening of the hazardous goods box, the flap closure can also be sealed or padlocked.
