Yamaha e-bike light cable Y-cable for lighting connection

Ride your e-bike safely in the dark - the Yamaha Y-light cable makes it possible. It allows you to retrofit a lighting system on your e-bike. To do this, the light cable is connected to the motor. At the two outputs you will now find the connections for front headlights and rear lights. If necessary, additional Yamaha low-voltage connectors are required for this. The Y-light cable from Yamaha is also ideal as a replacement cable in case of a damaged or broken light cable.

Important information about the Yamaha Y-light cable for e-bikes

The cable can not be used for connection to Yamaha motors of Giant e-bikes. Giant uses a different connection. Furthermore, please make sure that no lighting system with more than 500 mA total power consumption may be connected to Yamaha PW motors. In the event of an overload, it can lead to motor damage without a warranty claim. To install a light system on your e-bike, the drive unit must be detached from the frame suspension. In case of doubt or uncertainty, please visit a specialist workshop to retrofit the lighting system. If you have any questions regarding compatibilty or availability, do not hesitate to contact us.
