The XT group is SHIMANO's flagship in the mountain bike sector. It combines pretty much all the technology that Shimano has to offer. The result is extraordinarily high performance. You can feel it on the trail! And you can already see it in the XT components. The SHIMANO DEORE XT SL-M8000 Rapidfire Plus shift lever leaves nothing to be desired in terms of operability, ergonomics and adjustability. Every detail has been thought of here.

The 11-speed trigger features Multi Release, Instant Realease and 2-Way Release technologies, which make it possible to shift with practically any movement - no matter in which direction you ride the shifters. This means that the gear lever adapts optimally to the rider and the respective riding situation. This allows you to devote your full concentration to the trail.

The shifter is attached directly to the brake lever via I-SPEC. This creates the possibility of an ergonomically perfect positioning. A longer lever housing and an anti-slip surface ensure better accessibility and safety. The further developed Vivid Index mechanism provides a clearly defined, crisp pressure point and gives a pleasant feedback of the shifting process. The operating forces have been reduced by 20%. The excellent workmanship and high-quality materials ensure reliability and durability on the one hand and an elegant design on the other.

The shift lever is available in the versions I-SPEC B, I-SPEC II or with clamp.

The version with clamp has an optical gear indicator. Adjustments of the lever position are not possible here.

Technologies

2-WAY RELEASE
The release lever for downshifting can be operated either by pressing with the thumb or by pulling with the index finger. This allows the gear lever to adapt optimally to the respective riding situation.

MULTI RELEASE
With earlier shift systems, changing gears in one direction was faster than in the other. The choice of top-normal or low-normal always meant sacrificing shifting speed in one direction in favour of the other. With MULTI-RELEASE, two gears can now be shifted with one lever action. The result: the fastest possible gear change in both directions, regardless of the type of rear derailleur used.

INSTANT RELEASE
The INSTANT RELEASE shifting process replaces the two-step click and release process. With INSTANT RELEASE, the cable is released immediately when the lever is actuated, thus achieving the fastest possible gear change. Regardless of whether a gear change up is to be made with a top-normal rear derailleur or a gear change down with a low-normal rear derailleur - a faster shift is always a better shift.

RAPIDFIRE PLUS
The mountain bikers' first choice for fast shifting since 1985. Up to three gears can be shifted with one push.

I-SPEC
This mounting system for gear levers offers optimum ergonomics, a tidy appearance and more space in the cockpit. It is mounted directly on the I-SPEC compatible clamp of the brake lever. The trigger can be moved to the left or right, as well as adjusted in angle. There are different I-SPEC systems which are not compatible with each other ( I-SPEC A, I-SPEC B, I-SPEC II, I-SPEC EV).

DYNA-SIS 11
Rhythm and range
The real advantage of the 11-speed drive is that the entire transmission range is available without having to give up the usual rhythm. DYNA-SYS11 ensures an optimal rhythm with "Rhythm Step" gears in the most used areas of flat and uphill.Less shifting of the front derailleur thanks to optimal number of teeth at the front. The rider controls cadence and energy consumption via the close-ratio cassette. The system is a highly efficient gear combination - the result: more speed with the same effort.

OPTISLICK
OPTISLICK cables reduce friction and thus effort when shifting gears thanks to the minimalist, uniform electroplated coating. The coating also provides excellent corrosion protection.
