The SHIMANO XT RD-T8000 is a 10-speed rear derailleur optimised for trekking. The XT series is Shimano's flagship and a success story. All new technologies are incorporated here. It is the upper class. That's why this rear derailleur delivers extraordinarily high shifting performance. The gear changes are always precise and smooth. It runs quietly and offers constant shifting performance over the thousands of shifting movements ahead. And since it also makes sense to save some weight on a trekking bike, the XT only weighs around 253g.

It is compatible with 2-speed drives with 11-36 cassette (maximum). It is attached conventionally to the derailleur hanger, but is also Direct Mount compatible if the link is removed. Sealed industrial bearings in the idler and tensioning pulley as well as fluorine-coated bushings ensure long-lasting durability - rattling was yesterday! SHIMANO RD technology prevents chain slap by maintaining constant chain tension and also ensures a quiet-running drive.

The design is slim and flat - called SHADOW. This reduces the risk of getting caught if things get a bit tight. In addition, the visual aspect of the trekking bike should not be neglected.
