With the Schwalbe Smart Sam Performance DoubleDefense! The off-road riding style on the eMTB naturally leads to punctures and punctures more often, also due to the extra weight. This requires a tyre that meets these demands.

The Smart Sam DD comes with double protection consisting of a layer of SnakeSkin fabric around the tyre plus RaceGuard under the tread. This construction provides the highest level of puncture protection. On a scale up to 7, this means puncture protection level 6.

The off-road tread of this perennial favourite makes the Smart Sam an optimal all-rounder for eMTBs. The compact centre bar ensures pleasant and low-vibration rolling behaviour on asphalt. It also reduces wear and tear. The side lugs bite into the ground and provide optimal grip and hold off-road. Dirt and mud are excellently transported away.

For the eye, the Smart Sam is also available with the light ClassicSkin sidewall. The ECE-R75 certification means it is approved for eBikes up to 50km/h.

ADDIX PERFORMANCE COMPOUND
Very durable rubber compound with a wide range of requirements. Similar to Speedgrip, it is a universal compound for tyres in the Performance Line.

For fast eBikes up to 50 km/h For fast eBikes (S-Pedelecs with registration, insurance and pedal assistance also over 25 km/h) a special approval of the tyre is necessary. For these bikes, we recommend eBike tyres with the ECE-R75 approval valid throughout Europe.
