For the special care for your e-bike chain Rohloff offers the solution. In cooperation with a renowned German lubricant manufacturer, Rohloff developed a special chain lubricant - Oil of Rohloff. This Rohloff chain oil is particularly well suited for the high stress on the bicycle chain when used in e-bikes / electric bikes. The basis of the lubricant is a synthetic oil that has extremely protective properties due to special DCS additives.

Thanks to the good creep and sliding properties and the high pressure stability, the chain oil from Rohloff is ideal for e-bikes with high load / tractive force of the chain, especially in the E-MTB area or trekking E-Bikes.

Also in the field of sustainability, Rohloff is very far ahead. The special chain lubricant from Rohloff has been classified as quickly biodegradable according to the test method CEC-L-33-T-82. Behind this test method is a test in which the chain oil is put in contact with clarifying bacteria. Subsequently, it is determined how much lubricant is degraded in 21 days by the clarifying bacteria. With the Rohloff special chain lubricant 90% are degraded.

Note: The chain oil has the water hazard class "zero". Thus, it does not contain any substances hazardous to drinking water. The 50 ml bottle is offered in refillable plastic bottles.
