An oil change is recommended once a year or every 5000 km. This ensures that there is always a sufficient amount of oil in the gearbox in the event of oil loss due to sweating oil and that any abrasion leftover that has formed or water that has penetrated is flushed out.

An oil drain plug is included in the scope of delivery.

Note

The hub should be at room temperature (oil flows better). Turn the hub so that the oil drain plug is at the top.
12,5 ml is sufficient for 1 oil change.

Attention!
Only Rohloff oils (gear oils/cleaning oils) may be filled into the Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14. Filling in other fluids or additives can cause damage to gear parts (e.g. plastic parts).

Tip!
As the flushing oil is added to the oil in the hub for the flushing process, there is oil in the hub before the extraction process. For disposal, the entire extraction quantity can be filled into the flushing oil bottle.

The use of the Rohloff oil change kit is recommended for a problem-free oil change.
