Magura MT5e disc brake - HIGO closer, NO | HIGO opener, NC | 3-finger lever with ball head

Equipped with the genes of the downhill world cup proven MT7, the MT5e provides maximum braking power and a high level of stability. It is thus specially optimised for the higher requirements (more weight at higher speeds) of an eBike and the ideal choice for S-pedelecs up to 45km/h. In combination with the new MDR-P or MDR-C brake discs, it finally unfolds its full effect in terms of braking performance and durability and thus creates a big plus in safety. The new brake discs shine with higher lateral stiffness and heat resistance with reduced vibration. Optionally, the shift levers can be mounted directly on the brake via Shift Mix clamps for a tidy cockpit. The adjustable lever width (Reach Adjustment) allows you to find your individual setting.

The brake is available both as a version with HIGO NO contact and with NC contact. The brake lever sends a signal to the motor so that it is switched off during braking (cut off).

Carbotecture®
A mixture of high-tech polymers and carbon or glass fibres is transformed into a plastic granulate in several complex processes. During the processing from this granulate to the finished component, the carbon fibres are optimally aligned to the load requirements. With this Carboflow process, any desired shape can be created from the granulate in an injection moulding process. Compared to the classic lightweight material aluminium, our Carbotecture® offers significant advantages: With the identical tensile and breaking strength of aluminium, Carbotecture® is 50 % lighter, so it weighs only half!
