Giant EnergyPak Plus Range Extender 250 Wh

The additional Giant EnergyPak Plus - Range Extender 250 Whbattery offers the possibility of increasing the on-board capacity of your Giant electric bike already equipped with an integrated 500 Wh or 625 Wh battery. Thanks to the EnergyPak Plus battery, trail junkies who can't get enough or long-distance trekking riders can go full throttle without worrying about range. The 1.8 kg Giant Range Extender is only compatible with selected models (see below).

MOUNTING AND FUNCTION OF THE GIANT RANGE EXTENDER

For mounting, you need the mounting holes provided on the down tube and the Range Extender mounting plate (do not mount on bottle cage). After installing the mounting plate, the range extender is simply snapped into place and connected to the charging socket. During the ride, the main battery is used first and the range extender only afterwards. Switching from the main battery to the additional battery is fully automatic and takes place without interruption. As soon as the main battery has reached a capacity of 1-2%, the Giant Range Extender is activated and emptied.

The EnergyPak Plus battery is recharged via the e-bike's charger using the adapter plate. This means that an additional charger is not necessary. Charging can take place anywhere there is a power socket. In addition, there is a USB charging port on the range extender that can be used to charge a smartphone or laptop. The additional battery then functions as a huge power bank.
