Flyer Electric Bicycle Speed-Sensor Premium Models

The speed sensor from Flyer to accurately determine the speed for all Flyer electric bikes of the premium model series.

With the speed sensor your speed is measured accurately. A defective sensor can lead to faulty support and even cause the failure of the system. Besides the sensor, a defective magnet or a large distance between the sensor and the magnet can also cause problems.

The original e.g. from Flyer installed cable is incl. sensor about 80cm long. The total length of the speed sensor cable available here is also 80cm.

Assembly note:

To replace the sensor cable, the display must be carefully unscrewed from the handlebar and the fixing lug on the back (see Figure 2 - back of the original display) must be carefully pushed upwards with a blunt object. While holding the lug upwards, the connector of the sensor cable must be carefully pushed out.

The sensor cable is laid through an insulating tube ex works and sealed at the end with heat shrink tubing, this cable insulation must be cut open depending on your options for replacing the cable and sealed again with insulating tape after replacement. As an alternative to the insulating tape, a spiral hose (cable spiral / cable tie) can also be used.

We recommend carrying out all work on the plastic at room temperature or slightly higher temperatures, as the plastic is stiffer at cooler temperatures and could therefore break.
