Bosch PowerTube 625Wh E-Bike Battery

The original Bosch PowerTube 625 Wh battery is the latest e-bike battery generation from Bosch and ensures even more range and pure riding pleasure. The Bosch PowerTube 625 battery, specially developed for e-mountain bikers and long-distance riders, has an energy content of 625 watt hours and thus enables even longer e-bike tours than ever before. With its compact dimensions of 416 x 84 x 65 mm and a weight of only 3.5 kg, the Bosch PowerTube battery allows for optimal integration in the down tube. In addition, it is very robust thanks to its continuous cast aluminium profile.

Efficient power for demanding rides

The Bosch PowerTube battery answers the call for even more running power and thus provides eMountain bikers with mighty anticipation. With its 625Wh, the Bosch Powertube guarantees efficient and, above all, long-lasting riding pleasure even on hilly or demanding terrain. Commuters who cover several kilometres a day also get their money's worth with the new Powertube battery.

The Bosch Powertube 625 battery is charged via the Bosch Fast Charger. This charges the battery with 6A charging current to 50% within 1.5 h when completely discharged. A complete charge to 100% takes approx. 3.7 hours (manufacturer's specification). The battery can be charged directly on the e-bike via the charging socket or conveniently at home when removed. The Powertube 625 battery can be charged at any standard socket.

With the Powertube 625, Bosch relies on a compact construction combined with a simple, minimalist design. This allows e-bike manufacturers to integrate the battery almost invisibly into the bicycle frame. There it is also optimally protected from the weather and mechanical influences. Nevertheless, removing the Bosch Powertube is child's play. When you turn the key in the battery lock, the battery comes 2 cm out of the frame, which makes removal much easier. During the ride, the e-bike battery is well secured by a robust safety lock.

The battery can be used with all Bosch drive systems from the 2020 model series. Furthermore, the Bosch Powertube 625 Wh battery is also available in combination with DualBattery, which allows the coupling of two batteries. This means that after coupling, an incredible 1250 watt hours are available for the e-bike.

Tip: Get more out of your Bosch Powertube 625 Wh battery

The performance and longevity of your Bosch battery depends on many factors. To get the most out of your energy storage unit, try to keep the strain as low as necessary. For this reason, do not store your Powertube 625 battery in a fully charged or fully discharged state. Ideally, the battery should have a charge level between 30% and 60% when not in use for a longer period of time. In addition, make sure that the temperature does not rise above 30°C during storage. We recommend storing the battery in the cellar at temperatures between 0°C and 20°C. During your extended e-bike tours, park your electric bike in a shady place if possible.
