Battery Regulation
Most electric bicycles and accessories come with rechargeable batteries. In connection with the sale of these rechargeable batteries, we are obliged as a dealer under the Battery Act to inform our customers of the following:
Please dispose used batteries as required by law at a municipal collection point or hand them in at your local retailer free of charge so that raw materials and possible pollutants can be recycled in a targeted manner. Disposal in household waste is expressly prohibited by the battery law! Batteries that we offer or have offered can be returned to us free of charge after use at the address below or sent back to us by mail with sufficient postage. This applies to quantities that end-users usually dispose of.

This obligation is also indicated by the crossed-out dustbin printed on all battery packagings. You will also find the chemical symbols of the substances cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb) or mercury (Hg), if they are contained in concentrations above the limit values. You will also find this information again in the documents enclosed with the consignment of goods or in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
Further information on the Battery Act can be found on the Internet at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety or at the "Gemeinsamen Rücknahmesystem Batterien (GRS)".
